GALLAGHER: `EVERYONE WANTS TO BE OASIS WITHOUT THE EFFORT' OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER hates one aspect of running his own record label - many of the bands he meets want to be Oasis.
The rocker launched his own label, Big Brother, in 2000 and he admits the experience of being an industry boss isn't always great fun.
He tells music industry trade paper Billboard, "The thing about bands these days is everybody wants to be the next Oasis, and that doesn't mean slogging it out around the toilet gigs, it means, `Give me the cheque, I need to go to the Levi's shop and I need a 1960s Gibson (guitar).'
"It's all about advances these days, and most managers of these new bands are idiots.
"We signed to Creation for 50 grand, and we didn't get any money for about three years. You tell that to a kid these days, and they'll vomit."

Yep, it's all about the money and the image nowadays...that's why today's music is so bad. If a band really wants to have their music out, they'll do pretty much anything. Byt the way, does anybody know what happened to Proud Mary??

" Byt the way, does anybody know what happened to Proud Mary?? My mate went to see Bryan Adams earlier this year and they were supporting him.
