GALLAGHER: 'ALL OUR BEST GIGS ARE ABROAD' OASIS are embarrassed by the majority their festival performances in Britain to date because their intensive drinking habits always ruin their music.
The British rockers have enjoyed top billing in the UK ever since their album DEFINITELY MAYBE became the fastest selling debut album of all time - but they insist playing last means they are always drunk on stage.
But The LYLA hitmakers - who headlined Britain's V Festival last weekend (20-21AUG05) - are convinced they give perfect performances when touring abroad, because they appear earlier in the concert line-ups.
Noel Gallagher says, "You can count out all the ones in England. I don't think we've ever pulled it off for some reason.
"The thing is, when we're playing festivals abroad, we're usually second on the bill - we never get to headline.
"Whenever we've headlined Glastonbury, by the time we get on everybody's t**tted." contactmusic

Well, it happens, my fingers don't move as fast on the guitar when I'm drunk, and I fuck chords up often. I'm with Noel.

They're always shit at Glasto - I know that much. Except 94.
The best I've ever seen them at a British festival was at Reading in 2000 - amazing gig, partly due to the fact Noel hadn't been touring with them and there seemed to be a real (unspoken, of course) relief and pleasure from all of them that he was back onstage playing with them.
