old news from Nme:
OASIS REACH FOR THE SKY
OASIS are to feature in SKY SPORTS' promotional campaign for the forthcoming 2005-2006 football season.
Adverts featuring footage of the track ‘The Meaning Of Soul’ from their current sold-out UK tour mixed in with soccer coverage, will be screened on the satellite station.
The band have just finished their jaunt around the country with a performance at Newcastle Metroradio Arena.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Oasis will release their new single ‘The Importance Of Being Idle’ on August 22.
The song is the second to be lifted from their current album ’Don’t Believe The Truth.
The single will feature two brand new tracks including Liam Gallagher’s ‘Pass Me Down The Wine’ and ‘The Quiet Ones’, penned by guitarist Gem Archer.
