OASIS rocker LIAM GALLAGHER has slammed U2 star BONO's "boring" attempts to convert him to Christianity - insisting he is his own God.
The WONDERWALL singer recently shattered his rock 'n' roll image by confessing he regularly goes to church to confess his sins, but his belief in himself rises above everything else.
But Liam refuses to follow his sibling's religious beliefs, despite Bono's persistent efforts to show him the way of the Lord.
He complains, "What can Bono tell me I don't know I'm not looking for guidance. There are days I believe and days I don't. And days I think, 'F**k the lot of them, I'm going for a Stella (beer).'
"And when I've had ten of them, I'm f**king God. F**k Bono. I don't need his guidance. He'd talk a glass eye to sleep."

i like liams take on religion- i guess i agree with liam that i dont like people telling me what to think. i like listening to other people and hearing different points of view but i detest when people try to 'convert' you - as if their faith is superior to yours. i know what i believe in, and i have something resembling a god and that works for me and makes me happy.
but i dont like that article that much. they took that from the q interview right? didnt he say he DOESNT confess? and doesnt the fact he believes in some sort of god and goes to church say he IS being religious? so he isnt refusing anything much, is he? just saying he doesnt need other people to help him find his own beliefs.
they are all small points and rather irrelevent, but the point is i just feel that they, like always, twist words so it suits their noel/liam and liam vs the world angles that they like to keep going on about.

Noel's barbs ring a bit more true for me, because he is a songwriting genius and has built up the cred to slag other people. Liam can slag anyone's frontman and drinking abilities though, that is fine.

That Bono boy is veeeery boooring...i can't see him with his boring glasses.I think that's the reason why I don't like u2 like I should. You know, there is one stupid (for me) band in Croatia, it's called Prljavo Kazaliste (Dirty Theater on english) and everybody loves them (except me I think), but the frontman of that band is the same Bono.I see Bono on tv, that's ok, but this guy I have to listen over and over... Sorry on this long post. I'm a little bit frustrated.
