Is he just Gem or is he Gem Archer? Because in the CD he is just Gem. It'd be awesome if he went for the single name thing like Bono. This just once again proves that Gem is one of the coolest people on the planet. His songs, A Bell Will Ring and Hung in a Bad Place, are both class. One hell of a pick-up for one hell of a band.

i love him soo much...hes always soo chilled out and mellow in all pictures and interviews...kinda brings back the 90s...'dont giva a fuck' thing...hes a legend...

I read that he was nicknamed after Archie Gemill when he was a kid. But Gemill is a football player (famous in the 70's), and from what I heard Gem doesn't like football, so I don't know.

but going back to the original question...how comes its gem and not gem archer? cos on DBTT is creditied to gem, while on heathen chemistry it has 'gem archer'? does it even make a difference? =P but if anyone does know i'd be interested to find out

lol, i suppose thats a good answer! =) i think next album he should be credited as 'kiwi-man' i just read the daily telegraph article with him eating a kiwi fruit. and i got images of him eating kiwi fruit. and i think he'd be a top kiwi fruit eater, hence the new nickname! |

In my opinion, this is the most "Beatle-like" Oasis has ever been. For the simple reason that they have four members of the band writing songs fer the albums. That proves how good the "band" is. Not many other bands can say they have 4 songwriters in the band can they.
