OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER has urged record companies to put albums out as soon as they're complete in a bid to beat the internet pirates.
The rocker was initially thrilled when he heard the new Oasis single LYLA was being played ahead of its embargo on a radio station in Poland - and then he was contacted by frantic record label bosses.
Gallagher recalls he was still excited to hear the single was getting air play, but can't understand why record bosses present themselves with piracy problems.
He says, "I don't even know what the internet is. I don't have a computer, so it doesn't concern me. I don't understand the corporate record system anymore.
"You give them an album, and six months later you're still waiting for it to come out. When it's finished, get it out as soon as possible. Put it in the f**king shops within the week. It can be done that way."

Castlecraver - if Noel just rushed himself to write the songs and get them out as quickly as possible, then the quality would be even lower than on heathen chemistry you twat!

Heathen Chemistry isn't that bad I think it´s a good album with some classic tunes (SCYHO, Songbird, BOADC) and one very bad song..Force of nature..

I think BOADC is by far the worst Oasis song to get on to an album. its just so dreary and boring. Even worse than Little James for me, at least that had a decent tune. Each to their own I suppose.

Songs that should be B-Sides:
DM- Fade Away could have been added but nothing taken off.
MG-She's Electric - replace w/ Aquiesce or Talk tonight.
BHN- My Big Mouth,Magic Pie,BHN- replace w/ Stay Young, I Got The Fever, The Fame
SOTSOG- PYMWYMI, LJ - replace with Carry Us All, Let's All Make Believe, Cigs In Hell
HC- FON, She Is Love, BOADC -replace with Shout It Out Loud, Thank You For The Good Times, You've Got The Heart of A Star.
My opinions. Bash away.

You guys can't be serious about BOADC. It's a rich and full song that shows a fresher side of Liam and the band. The worst song on Heathen Chemistry was She Is Love. I can't see any of the HC b sides fitting on the album.

BTW, Noel is right. Distribuiting promos for everyone before the album gets its release is stupid. No one wants a review of an album that's not on the market.

No one wants a review of an album that's not on the market. good point... getting back to Webby's "news update"... I think record companies' execuse is "there are no time for us to promote the record" that is stupid, promote the record as the band's recording or as the band's mastering the record... I dunno how freaking long corporate meetings are, but I say within a week you could pull off a marketing strategy and contact all the necessary contacts to get the promotional thingy running (shooting/recording commercials take a day, mass-e-mailing radio stations take a second) ... Noel is soooo right!! Plus... brumoscardo's got it since the record company should be able to keep the record under wrap until the release date, they're just too lazy to do more security measures... encrypt the tracks, just don't release it, or stream the singles thru the internet only, do whatever!! (at worst, just promote like Be Here Now, listening parities for reviewers around the world...)

i agree. noel is absolutely right. i dont need the nme or rolling stone magazine previewing a record, i (still) can make my own mind up.
and as for pre-listening parties: how difficult is it to watch over a bloody piece of plastic handed out to a dj for a night?

I never saw the problem with FON. I always liked it. What's wrong with it?
And Born on a different cloud is amazing. Best on HC.
