OASIS SNUB ROYAL INVITE
OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER has revealed he turned down the chance to visit British monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II at Buckingham Palace last year (04), because he has no respect for the royal family.
The rocker admits he was surprised by the odd invite to the Queen's London residence, but had no intention of honouring it.
He says, "We wouldn't go. Royalty - they're not from a world I can comprehend.
"I don't know where they come from or what they do or what their role is in life or who the f**k they think they are."

Hes redeemed himself here some bit....the only way he can truly redeem himself is telling them where to shove their knighthood when he undoubtedly get it inferred upon him. If he never rights another song he will get eternal respect for such a gesture......

He doesn't care about Iraq all that much. He was just use to growing up as a working class man who fucking hated Thatcher. So he just likes having labour in and he likes blair, it's as simple as that. He thinks Blair for what he's done for the domestic england. He doesn't agree with the war, but there's not much he can do to change that he figures. I don't see why people care so much that he went to see blair.

(see awful expensive queen clothes LOL) i understand noel's point... the most hypocrit person is certainly the queen who gave orders some years ago to prevent noel and liam from having an account in the same bank as her... now she invites him!! |

Actually I don't think he would; he has said in interviews he regreats going. But at the time we were just coming out of 18 years of Tory vaginas and we all thought it was a bright new dawn for Britain. Of course time has proved the old truism that nearly all politicians are useless wankers, but at the time he looked at it as a kid from Burnage being invited to No. 10 - his mum told him he would be a mug not to go. He sacrificed a lot of cool for doing it and probably wouldn't do it again, but you can see the reasons why he went back in 97.

Tony Blair is a guy who has just become a vagina over time because of power! There is a world of difference there, at least Blair has had to earn his position instead of being born in to it. Okay I accept my comments about the royal family were immature and stupid and I've deleted the latest one accordingly.
But on Thatcher, she made life hell for millions of working class people during the 80s. For you to call her the best post war PM seems to me like you are FAR right, not centre-left. And don't tell me about spouting new labour propaganda, I've never voted for them, they are far too centre-ground for me and I'm not a fan of Tony Blair either. I was just trying to point out reasons why Noel would have wanted to visit Blair and how there is a big difference between visiting the PM of this country and visiting the Queen. Its not about "the establishment" and sucking up to them, its about the whole fact that there is a family who are simply forever born in to wealth and privelidge and its simply not right! That's why Noel wouldn't visit the royal family and why he is not a hypocrit (on this issue), because there is a world of difference between the PM (including a Tory one) and the Queen or King.
