i read in a australian street press that oasis where touring oz after the japan leg of the tour, but cannot find any confirmation of this, any one know what the deal is?

A couple of fans on Inet said that they read the same thing. And a couple of fans say that they have it on "good authority" that the lads are coming to Oz. Fingers crossed!

they finish in Japan on the 14th of August and play in Spain on the 18th. then they are in England till the 21st. they then have a gap from the 21st of August untill the 8th of September when they go to Canada. sooooo........hopefully they will come then! ;D if this is the case they would have about 2 weeks for an Oz tour. if not possibly end of the year?? big day out anyone?  |

thats the best idea i've seen written on this forum....
although i reckon Aussie Stadium would offer a better atmosphere coz its more enclosed....but still a massive stadium gig to close the Oz leg of the tour would be tremendous...

Well lets hope something gets confirmed!!! They will probably only go to sydney and melbourne neway...I totally agree, a stadium gig would be sensational..Will fly down if necessary

yeah it would be great but they would never in a million years pack out a stadium in australia. they are just not that popular here anymore.....not since 1996 when they became everyones worst enemy when they cancelled the MG tour down here. btw i saw them in 98 at the sydney entertainment centre and in 2003 at the enmore theatre and both gigs were amazing (but i think, mainly full of british backpackers).

I dont know much about the capacity at enmore, would it be close to 15-20 thousand...Im making that assumption based on the fact that brisbane ent. centre fits 10,000 max...which is just shite as!! |
