For brits that aren't familar The OC is a 90210 type show here in the US, not sure if its aired over there. But during a big scene where this couple were getting back together they played Champagne Supernova, by matt pond or something. Sounded good, if anyone has it please upload it. Played about the whole song during a touching scene no wonder it went to no. 1 on itunes.

personally i hate the show....but with all the the attention it gets from under 21s it just may help OASIS get some exposure here in time for the new record..i heard these 2 girls at the gym talkin abouty wat a great song it was and i had to laugh i think they thought it was a new tune by a american band...needles to say i straitened them out  |

yea after it aired it was all the buzz with the kids. i remember i was like 15 and in highschool when i was turned on to oasis now i am 25 and the kids the same age have no clue who they are and think the remake is a "new song" .. man i feel old.

Honestly I hate the OC I want to kill myself whenever an add for it comes on. So when I read in the news room that the OC was going to play a cover of the song I was just a bit sceptical. But, when I listened to the song just now I have no big complaints. I still think it would have been better to play the true Oasis version.

it pisses me off, but not for the reason that its simply bad, its cos theyve not actually changed the song that much, theyve just played it themselves and sung it how it was originally, just really badly.
This is mere kareoke
When oasis covered i am the walrus, cum on feel the the noise, heyheymymy and my generation theyve added their own spin on it and changed the songs sufficiently to warrant playing them live, as people would be legitimately interested in their interpretation of it. This can be seen in its most plain and obvious form with the cover ryan adams did of wonderwall. genius.
god even that mike flowers version of wonderwall had a little imagination, changing the fucking beat, this is proper kareoke and the band should be hung.
on a seperate note i think the ocs class and anything with rachel bilson in it is worth watching if u ask me. its no super fucking mega show like the sopranos but its good for a laugh on a sunday morning when its on over here in britain

I gotta say i actually put on the show thursaday at the end to hear the tune and IT SUCKS ...I cant believe how bad a cover it is yet it seems to be helpin OASIS with younger fans gettiin 2 know them ...but damn its a pitiful cover write up there with kylie doin the locomotion  |

haha... I finished watching oc 14 and all I was thinking was "what a shocking cover"... that guy's got the bits from the song all over the place... turned champagne supernova into 1 big mess  anyone have any idea why the OC people didn't just use oasis' version? this also goes with wonderwall... |

It's weird because on the season one disc set, they talk about the music and they bring up Wonderwall and they just say it is a cover but never mention Oasis the whole time...
