i love each line from dont look back in anger. its been my favourite song since the moment i first heard it when the WTSMG came out 9 years ago, even though there are other album songs and b-sides such as: slide away, talk tonight, cast no shadow, acquiesce, listen up, idler's dream, solve my mistery, sad song...and many more that have excellent lyrics.
Although he says he's not, noel is one of the finest lyricists nowadays.

"you said that you've never been but all the things that you've seen are gonna fade away"

"take that look from off your face cos you aint never gonna burn my heart out"

but the one that truly represents the feeling in this song is, of course: "so sally can wait, she knows its too late as we're walking on by. my soul slides away, but dont look back in anger i heard you say"

one of the best songs that has ever been written.
