Off to the City of Manchester Stadium on the 2nd for my first Oasis gig!!!
Very early to start guessing but I'm already thinking about the setlist, Glastonbury was very "Definitley Maybe" heavy, which is no bad thing as its a wonderful album (the bands best) but it went well with the anniversary, so I wouldn't be suprised if they don't use many DM tracks in these gigs (not that I'd be averse to hearing them). Live Forever, Cigs & Alcohol are both absolute certainties as is Don't Look Back in Anger and Acquiesce, and they've started playing Wonderwall, Supersonic, Champagne SUpernova and Morning Glory again after leaving them out of a few large gigs. I'd expect to hear 5/6 new tracks in there aswell.
What songs would other people LIKE to be on the setlist?
Personally I'd love Fade Away, Some Might Say, Roll with It although I'm not sure whether Liam can sing them aswell as he used to.

I'd love to see Better Man, Roll it Over, Where Did It all Go Wrong?, Columbia and the return of Noel's acoustic set!

Columbia's probably a safe bet for one of the opening tracks, I very much doubt we'll hear Roll it Over, and the other two are doubtful but possible.
I'd like to hear Noel's acoustic set and I would say a new cover would be nice to end the show but I'm desperate to hear My Generation live...

I think the new album will be out then and that's what they'll be touring mostly(as with Heathen Chemistry) to promote it. I just got tickets for the Milton keynes gig, can't wait. As i said i hope they have a new album out by then and they tour the majority of that with a good balance of classics to top it off. I don't want oasis to become a classics band like the who, stones etc... who churn shit out now but people go in there thousands to here them play the tunes that made them, Oasis still have a good shelf life and are still 1 of if not the most important british(or worldwide) band for Rock n Roll and chart music in general. I just pray they comeback with an album of the 1st 2's quality(not putting the other's down as they're classics in there own right) and give's music the kick up the arse it need's right now.
Cheers

im not expecting to many suprises. About 5 from the new record and the usual DM and MG tunes with a few b sides and the odd few from other albums seems likely.

anything they play will be ok with me. BUT i especially wanna hear CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA ,because the last 2 gigs in NYC they opted to leave it out and play over the speakers (the album version not live) as we were exiting the arena. THE OTHER 20 odd times I saw them whether here or in the UK they played it and it gives the concert a great feel.

I would also love to see the return of the Noel acoustic set. And 'Bring It On Down' would be great. Cigs and Alcohol is always one of my faves. If the new album's good then new ones would be nice, but on the other hand if it's shit then I wouldn't want to hear too many on them

The set list will most probably be greatest hits plus about 5 new songs. But I'd love to hear Round Are Way, Headshinker and Listen Up
