Hey guys, I wonder ...
Ya know, I like Blur for their music. It's not Oasis, but Blur. Because of whole this Oasis vs Blur thing in the glory days of britpop, people are split in two groups. The Blur side and the Oasis side. Ya know, Oasis is my No.1 favourite, and Blur ... I just love their music, they're just not my No.1 favourite, but they are on my list of most favourite bands together with The Verve, Radiohead, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Jet and The Dandy Warhols. I know some people don't like Damon and say he's a bastard or a twat, but in the end : nobody does really know him personally very well, and it's all about the music (could be Noel's words ...). Correct me if i'm wrong.
What's your opinion about this ? And um .... what's your favourite Blur song and your favourite Blur line (lyrics) ?

I think the media tried to make people make a decision about which one was best and didn't stop to think you could like both.
I like some of their songs but to be honest, I prefer Oasis

I like Blur but not half as much as Oasis... as Noel has said, they're a great singles band (I don't think much of their albums) but i like the greatest hits album. My favourite songs are the Universal and End of the Century Has anybody else heard Graham Coxon (ex- Blur guitarist)'s solo stuff... it's fucking great  |

freakin' out is quality, so is bittersweet bundle of misery.
blurs last album was utter shite, coxon he was rite to pull out when he did.

PERSONALLY I think they are wankers but if NOEL likes their singles i will listen if im pissed in a bar and a blur tune comes on ill like but i wont buy there cds.
blur dont have anywhere near the devoted following of OASIS which goes to show how the boys are looked at buy real fans

1. Why the hell does it matter they are from the south of England ? It's about the music.
2. Why do ya give a fuck about their accents ?
In my opinion it's not about HOW, but WHAT they say ...
3. Damon might be a twat in some eyes, but do you know him ? I don't and I guess you don't know him either ...
4. Graham Coxon is doin'his own thing right now, his not part of Blur anymore, so his the past. Well maybe his music is not that fokin'mega, but it's better then a lot of other bands around this world, isn't it ? God please gimmi Graham instead of Maroon 5 or something.
5. Rite, well that's the past, and let's be honest, that was only in England. Nowadays on the rest of this globe, a small bit of people might remember a bit of this fokin' useless fight. Blur isn't Oasis, Oasis i'n't Blur and both of them are not like The Beatles or The Stones. Cos that was the whole fokin' thing. People went paranoia in those glory days of britpop. They expected a next Beatles and Stones era. Fuck that. And what should have happened if whole this fight wasn't there ?

I think that if Oasis didn't had any trouble with Blur in the past, a lot of Oasis fans would actually DO love Blur. I don't say it would be their no. 1 band, but they would love Blur a lot more. Because they don't have an own opinion. If liam or noel says: 'Blur sucks!' some people immediatly hate that band. The same story goes for Robbie...

And please, PLEASE, dont tell me you like robbie williams?!! Have you heard his music?? I dont need anybody to tell me he sucks and he is shit, i can figure that out by myself anyday! and i do have an own opinion, probably you dont have one, but thats not for me to say anyway.-  |

ye I actually like a lot of songs from RW, but I don't think this is the right forum to say that I can understand why people really hate him (because of his pop/boy band image) but he surely has some good songs. That's my opnion I don't say that's got to be yours |

Well, the first album of RW wasn't that bad. It had some nice tunes on it. After Robbie noticed he was "hot", is music changed by the day. If he did the music he started with today, I might had another opinion 'bout Robbie. Don't forget that Robbie's song
"Angels" also simbolised an end of the glory days of Britpop. A big bunch of people thought " ow he must be the next big thing after Oasis". And he wasn't. He was of the generation of The Spice Girls. Robbie fucked off real britpop. Still, some songs of his first album are not that bad. Nowadays he's just a fokin' doll for his record company, he doesn't make good music (anymore), he's there to sell albums and t-shirts.
Please gimmi Blur instead of RW.
