from the new nme
"Speaking recently to NME, Gallagher said that a new song, 'The Importance Of Being Idle' is one of his current favourites. He said "It's one of the best tunes I've ever written. It's The Kinks meets The La's. It is blinding. We've written 66songs, the majority of which I can't believe our kid's done. I've only written 14 of them. He's done most of the rest of them"

no we arent. the fact that theres only 2 b-sides on every single now, well since 99 i believe, is based on the rule that 4 different songs on an official release dont make a single anymore but an EP which are charted in album charts and not in single charts. its got nuffin to do with noel or whoever dryin up or summart

He also said in that Radio 6 interview that he's written a song called 'Mucky Fingers'. Thats gotta be one of the greatest song titles ever ;D

Oh, never knew that And they wonder why singles charts are drying up these days The recent news and interviews are the most encouraging I've heard in relation to the new album. 5 songs completed and in the can, Zak seems to be settling in as the drummer, plenty of writing. Hopefully we're looking at the best album since Morning Glory and hopefully a tour in the not so distant future!

i think it is well-reasonable to expect six new albums and at the very least twelve tours
