Got this emailed to me from a Greek fan, can anyone guide him towards the geer site for Oasis, I forgot the address ( it's a fan running it )
Nice site mate. I am from greece and claim to be loyal supporter of the band. I'd like to know mate if there is any site or something over the net letting me know what gear does noel use. I mean apart from his guitars, what amps or floor effects and stuff like that. I want to know technical details about his sound but I don't know where to look for. A guitar roadie of his over my place for a cup of coffee should be great! So, any ideas?

His live setup now is based on an ES-345, pre 1969.
He has a huge rack of processors now (you see it in alot of live performances but uyou see it best in the CDUK performance)...so it would be very hard to replicate it perfectly.
In fact, that's the only guitar I've seen him use, really (for electric stuff)...it appears the sheratons have been retired (which is not a bad thing really)....
He used a white custom tele in the vid for Keep What You Got...that's all I know about his new gear setup.

Yeah, he seems to just use the ES and his Les Paul these days, doesn't he? Question, for anyone who might know - did he still use that ugly pink telecaster for DLBiA on the Heathen Chemistry tour?

that ugly pink telecaster is worth just as much as a good car... and i think if noel used to use it, it sounds just fine. so it's not that ugly

He doesn't use actual fenders, he used clark amps which are period correct sounding replicas of fender amps, only done to modern standards. They are basically road ready versions of what are considered flimsy amps today. www.clarkamps.comI believe Noel uses one called the beaufort or something. I would own one of the amps but I guess I prefer the real thing and being able to say "1967 Fender DeLuxe, all original man! Bought it off a nutter who wanted a new car!"

don't forget the white fender esquire, the pink paisley fender telecaster, the gibson les paul with the cutaway on the cover of dlbia, the flying v in the vid of dykwim, the fender jazzmaster in the booklet of bhn, and the gibson firebird.

I remember from the early days(DM), Noel used a lot of orange amps. Infact he made this type very popular again. It is best you use an orange for imitating the sound of DM songs

Hi. I'm the one who asked the question about Noel's gear. In fact what I was asking about is something less obvious than the axes he uses. Like stomp boxes, pedals, effects, amps, techniques he uses live etc. I feel like saying a big thankyouverymuch guys for your answers. If there's anything else let me know. See ya again

Noel definately plays with some tiny Fender amp on top of his big stack. I was about 20ft from it in Detroit and I was wondering if it was real or just some prop.
