Really ? What the Hell ? Has our pretty little god heard are prays ? Unique it is. Last time I heard that song on radio was about 4 years ago, while I was eating at McDonalds. My Big Mac had never tasted that good after that day

Yeah that's right, and that what we are talkin' about. By the way, I guess I'm startin' to believe that He exsist Today Eggymanos has heard Don't Look Back In Anger on the radio, and I just noticed Wonderwall on TV. Unique ! Is it because of us ? Let's hope it is (aldo I think it's not, just pure luck). But ... lets hope it somehow is ... Cheers ...

There now real devoted audience for oasis in holland. But seeing rocknroll is getting more and more fashonable worldwide, so they will broadcast a bit of oasis stuff from earlier days.
And im sure they can fill the HMH 2 or 3 times. Even Ahoy 2 nights I think. But thats about it...

It's very strange, I live in Holland as well and I am a real oasis fan, when I listen to oasis and have some friends over at my place, they all love it, but the only songs they know are the 'well-known' wonderwall and dont look back in anger.

Hi, another dutch fan! ;D
I don't know why oasis has never been that popular here in Holland. Ok, they were quite popular in the WTSMG era, but much has changed since. Maybe a lot has got to do with their attitude, their arrogance en confidence. It seems to scare people away. Whenever I talk about music with one friend of mine, he always brings up Oasis and says he hates liam, big mouthed and that, always saying they're the best band in the world. But one day he totally surprised me: he said he changed his mind about Oasis. And I said how come? And he said, I downloaded some of their songs (other than wonderwall and don't look back in anger, which he knew already) and I really like them! It seems like nobody wants to listen to Oasis, or get to know their songs. Fair enough if you don't like their music. But I think they don't like Oasis and thus don't like their music. There are some day's that I wish that Oasis get the respect and succes they still deserve. But it's something that will never change, unless Oasis create a monster record this or next year!

Well said, very well said. 100% true. People are too prejucticed these days. They think liams an arsehole (in which i agree) but due to that they immediately believe their music is shite too!! Bullshit. Its about the music music music music! which i doubt... Too bad, but thats how i feel...

interesting! dutch music fans throw shit at bands they dont like?
i mean, where do they get it?? do they shit into plastic bags or do they go into the portaloo's???
do they come to the gigs with logs that they laid earlier concealed in discreet plastic bags?
how close do you have to be to the stage to lob a load of shit??
do you dutch people wear gloves when lobbing?
do you carry toilet rolls to whipe the shit off your arse after you have prepared your "unike" projectiles?
what about the people at the front who get hit by badly aimed shit?
either way, it is something that i have never ever seen at any concert ever!
i pray that i never will!
cant blaim oasis for not touring there.

whahaha well okay, here it comes : Why are bands like Keane, Coldplay, The Strokes and Jet populair in Holland (which make music a bit like the Britpop/Oasis/Blur/Radiohead era), what makes them different from Oasis ? it is quite simple after reading this thread. a lot of dutch people really love shit!!!

Fuck stop talking crap ok ! this is just a serious topic, if people slag of others, they don't belong here. And mr. beer baron ... where the fuck did ya get that fact from ? Who said they put shit in plastic bags and threw it to Liam ? What yer doing right now is slaggin real dutch oasis fans off, is that yer intention ? Why ? Just should be glad there is just a small group off people up here who still like good music man.
And by the way I think it time to come up with something new .... next question :
What does the next album need to bring Oasis back to their glory (in Holland) ?
cheers mates

;D ;D
Lol, Relax,
Shitbaron is only foolin around. hes alright, although hes ugly as fuck. He just made that shitbag-story up, because thats whats on top of his mind all the time: bags of shit. whos to blame?
and to answer the question:
The only change that oasis will be bigger in holland will be when they release an album like morning glory, with loads of songs that are good enough for airplay, like some might say, dont look back in anger, wonderwall, roll with it, champagne supernova and shes electric. Then therell be more airplay, and people will be getting familiar with the band. Combine this with a well-planned tour at 3 venues in holland and a few festivals and itll be good.
Thatll do.

Yeah I think your right, but I don't think Oasis will do such thing anymore, which is a shame cos I think WTSMG together with DM was their best album. I think now they will come up with something else. Hopefully some better then Heathen Chemistry, the album I expected to be better then every other album of Oasis. Shamefully it was not ... much to mellow. They might have to do some more ballads or so ... donno .... cheers
