to me it's a noel-average, a 5 out of 10. the solo sounds nice but the rest of the song...nothing really special imo. fair enough if someone rates it higher than me.
lol, now as i think about it: many peeps seem to dislike Idler's Dream either and slag it off as a product of 2 mins of work. in my book these 2 minutes represent pure genius. i love the gentle sound of it, the piano, the organ in the end and noel's outstanding vocal performance. it's really simple, melodic and the lyrics are just... beautiful. shangri-la

I LOVE idlers dream. It gets me in this special mood like, ok, fair enough, its ok, relax, be cool, lay back, etc...
shout it out loud is IMO a moodless song. It doesnt get ME in a special mood though. And thats what I expect a song to do with me...

idler's dream is good...i don't know many people who slag it off really... it's definitely not the product of 2 mins work however, as it is the only oasis song featuring piano as the lead instrument.

lots of people think that simple songs are automatically written in a short time.

Definitely noel doesnt have liams powerful rnr voice, but he has some pretty good sung songs, specially some acustic ones; but it would be hard to choose one, as his best.
