Hello to everyone, Can I have people's thoughts about a tracklisting for an Ultimate Oasis B Side album? Roughly about 18 songs long. Cheers for any ideas

Ask the question again once they've released their sixth album, and a new set of B-sides.
That way "The Masterplan" would have covered the first 3 albums b-sides, and "Let's All Make Believe" can cover the second three albums b-sides.

Oasis already have a b-side album (The Masterplan), I don't think they have enough quality b-sides remaining to put out another b-side album.

I'm agreeing. Generally their post 'The Masterplan' B sides can't touch the superb quality of pre Masterplan B sides.
But they still pull some crackers out. Personally, I wish Oasis would 'experiment' a bit more on their B sides.

Well Idlers Dream was a little bit of a stretch, but yeah I agree with you it would be nice if they moved away from their niche (at least on b-sides and album tracks) but I have been waiting (hoping) for them to go to that next level (kind of like the beatles did on rubber soul or revolver) since BHN so i guess i am not holding my breath any more.
But how would suggest they evolve (are you sad that the Death In Vegas sessions went so poorly?)

It seems with Noel's involvement with the Chemical Brothers, Death In Vegas, Oasis probably move into more dance influenced music. I.e. the introduction of drum loops on some of the songs already.
There's also been some interest in the psychodelic angle, but that hasn't been to successful.
I wouldn't mind something a bit bluesy (White Stripes, not Stereophonics)...

I don't think they have enough quality b-sides remaining to put out another b-side album. Including pre-Masterplan tracks that didn't make the cut, this is a pretty damn good list: Round Are Way D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman Lets all Make Believe Thank you for the Good Times Shout it Out Loud My Generation Cloudburst The Fame Step Out (I Got) The Fever My Sister Lover One Way Road Full On Idlers Dream Not too shabby...

(Hi, I'm new)
Personally, as a US fan, I wish "The Masterplan" had been a full-double disc set, so that it could include such songs as "D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman," "Whatever," "Cum on Feel the Noize," "It's Better People," "Round Are Way," and "Step Out."
Frankly, I don't know, as I've never heard such songs as Round Are Way and Step Out, or the proper studio version of D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman.
From what I've read, the MG-Era B-Sides plus Whatever and it's B-sides form an album as good as if not better than (WTS)MG. So I kinda wish that at Oasis' peak of popularity here back in 95/96 they had released a "companion album" to MG, maybe with Fade Away and Listen Up on there too. Maybe then they could've later released a B-Sides album that compiled some of the best B-sides from the rest of their singles.

Holdonecho replied: Yeah, there is some good stuff there but it feels like we have started to scrape at the bottom of the barrel with some of the songs you suggested (cloudburst, round are way, the fever)...but then again, if the SOTSOG songs are included (revolution song and its a crime) and they wait a while and add the b-sides from the next album (and maybe even a song or two from the scraped Death In Vegas sessions) well then i guess it could be pretty good...
i just wish there was a way to include Whatever (a late 94 single) in the b-side compilation- that song needs to be included in a proper oasis album
