hey everyone, well, today is Friday the 13th, and I am getting prepared for hurricane Charley to hit, I live in the Tampa Bay Florida area, and the hurricane is gonna be here by 8 pm this evening.... well, I have my portable CD player and a whole lot of Oasis to get me through it for when I lose power... and for some reason, I have decided that the Hindu Times is the proper song to get me through "I get up when I'm down, I can't swim, but my soul won't drown.." anyways, to anyone else in the path of the storm, good luck, god bless, keep ypur head up... cheers! Rob

hey everyone, well, I made it through ok, the hurricane actually hit the shore about 80 miles south of me.... but it did hit my brothers house, so, since Saturday morning I've been down there helping him do clean-up in his yard and house... it is truly inspiring and scary at the same time to see the kind of damage first-hand that nature can do... not something that I want to see again, but it has definitely taught me to respect nature's powers a whole lot more... anyways, all is well now, and Oasis was playing on my CD player the whole time (though my brother quickly tired of them), thanks for the tunes guys! Cheers Rob

thanks for the concerns, a hurricane is a wickedly powerful thing, this one had winds up to 134 mph, and it did about $15 billion! in damages. When a hurricane is coming, the area that is going to be affected the worst is evacuated (those closest to the water) because not only is the wind powerful, but the waves can surge up to 20 ft above sea level! Luckily my brother did not have any structural damage to his house other than some roof shingles, but his neighbor had his ENTIRE roof blown off! And thousands of other people lost their homes totally! and about the basement---- no basements in Florida.. we are too close to sea level that a basement would be flooded from the water in the ground... anyways, enough of that... let's get on with Oasis! Cheers! Rob
