Noel use to play with epiphone 335 and rivieras...
But nowadays ive never seen him with any epiphone....always gibson.
Does anyone have seen noel lately with any epiphone??
Coz i dont.
By the way, the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Supernova has Gibson alnico 57 pickup and its the greatest guitars of all time.

The Epi's they used to use weren't Gibson Epiphone's they were the original models but the modern ones are as close as you can get without paying mega bucks. These days, they play with Gibson because, well, if you had the amount of dosh they do, wouldn't you?  |

These days, they play with Gibson because, well, if you had the amount of dosh they do, wouldn't you? not neccessary! if i had the money i'd contact epiphone for a custom riviera model (btw. realised just lately those guitars have a set neck although i thought it was neckthru. funny how you learn something new every day). epiphone also has some high quality guitars made but the prices for them are a bit spicy too as much as i know... so it's not just the money i guess. but a gibson is a gibson. anyway, sometimes you can be satisfied with a roytek thru 15w ibanez amp, sometimes a gibson thru a mesa/boogie 100w head won't do for you... |

He started playing with riviera's, casinos and sheratons, it werent these gibson remakes.
But I think he discovered that gibson is just better and easier ti play, so he switched.
I myself play a sheraton and a Les paul std, both epiphone, nad i know that if i had the money, id switch to Gibson too!

the noel guitar is a great playing guitar. and it's a very unique color. it's quite nice. if only the sig weren't as big.
but i'm happy with my gibson sg 1961 reissue, fender 69 thinline telecaster reissue, and my brand new rickenbacker 360!
i just noticed that i have the same types of guitars that george harrison and pete townshend, two of my idols, have.

the epiphone that u see on the video clip of "champagne supernova" is not the Noel Gallagher Supernova guitar.... But a sheraton that Noel ordered custom painted... But then, epiphone saw a supernormal profit opportunity (if ur a learn business u shud know wat a"supernormal profit"... common sense)... Anyway, then epiphone asked noel to make money for them... hence the epiphone supernova...
Theyre pretyy cheap in the US around U$700 bux u get it (union jack version) with epiphone hard case
fuckin expensive in Australia around 1400-1600, for the less good-looking blue version (in my opinion anyway...) without case... fuckin rip off
so basically they're both the same, only the other has got noel gallagher writen on the pickguard (n perhaps the humbuckers..)
...so i reckon its the sheraton that is a legend of a guitar...
for looks, i think they both shit... i like semi acoustic guitar, with the bridge that stretches to the end of the guitar... You shud know wat i'm talkin about

You shud know wat i'm talkin about Like the riviera or the casino? yeah thats cool! Or a big fat bigsby on the tail. I do agree on your opinion of the colours too. The union jack was a nice idea, but only for a couple of big gigs. A cusomized like that shouldnt be in production. Cuz it gets bored after looking at it for one week. Same with the zakk wylde les paul. And about the blue one, well its just not my kind of colour. I like natural colours like sunburst. My epi Les Paul is honeyburst (and the coolest colour there is) and my sheraton II is kinda tobaccoburst. As long as there a "burst" its good to me! |

So u want a blot neck???
Why is that? because its cheaper? its gives a shit sound and it kills your sustain. But the cheap acoustics are always bolt, like richwood or yamaha or something.
But i seriously dont understand why you want a non-set neck...
explanation needed...

i have not ONCE seen a vid anywhere of Noel playing a blue guitar of any kind live. So, likely he has never used the blue supernova in concert. I've only seen one pic of him actually playing the blue supernova...and I think it was a prototype because the blue was a blue sunburst rather than metallic MC blue.
I had another post up here but someone must've deleted it (?) If yer gonna do that I think I should at least get an explanation?
