Was just thinking to myself, the album they recorded together must be sitting somewhere, maybe not completely recorded but as good as. So frustrating I would pay bucks to have that. I know it didnt turn out right, but I cant see how Oasis/DIV could be anything other than stunning.
I just hope that the reason they ditched it is because it wasn't good enough, not because they got scared of changing direction and releasing something non-commercial sounding. I do worry that they've lost all desire to be creative and just want to pump out pop-rock albums, thats not what they're about! We've had that in WTSMG, they wont better it so do something different (this is all just me idly speculating of course)
Its just, they seemed really optimistic of the songs they had before entering studio with DIV, so what went wrong? I'd like to see an interview with DIV on it to be honest, to get their take, Noel hasn't been that forthcoming. Guess its cost em a fair bit all this studio time which makes me think it prob wasnt that great or they'd have got it out. I just really hope we get to hear some of it one day one way or another, I bet it sounds really interesting and probably quite different, whether its that good I'm not that fussed really!
