They should do "u really got me" by the kinks and "jumping jack flash". liam singing "I was born, in a crossfire huricane" would be unbelievable.
also i'd love to hear noel cover any beatles songs.

Please no more covers. Do it like in the old days...
Knick a couple of vocal hooks from Gimme Shelter, sew in a killer Kinks riff, toss out a few Lydon snarls and borrow generously from a Neil Young melody...
JUST NO MORE COVERS. PLEASE.

WHICH SONG ARE YOU ON ABOUT?

No song in particular, I'm just lamenting the good old days when they borrowed as opposed to covered.
I am the Walrus was and remains the difinitive cover. (and was the only b-side cover from the DM era singles)
and anyway when you are the creators of so much amazing music why do you insist on covering classics?
You aren't going to bring anything to Cum on Feel the Noise that Slade didn't already do.
And Street Fighting Man NEEDS Mick almost as much as Beggers Banquet needs it.
And my generation was two generations ago.
Covers are okay at concerts. They are neccessary when you don't have enough originals (like the Beatles did in the beginning) but for Oasis they are a waste of time and music space. I'd rather hear a tepid Bell original then a cover of the greatest song ever written.

Covers are okay at concerts. I dont really need them to record any either, but like you say, nothing wrong with doing the odd one at a gig. So i'll pitch in with: 'I Dont Even Know Myself' by The Who. Liam singing the verses with Noel doing the mad chorus bit.

I think Liam could really do Instant Karma by Lennon really well (especially the chorus)

The best ones mentioned so far are:
(Liam)Revolution (Liam)Across The Universe (Noel)Let It Be (Liam)Jumpin Jack Flash (Liam)The Ace Of Spades
I would say Liam singing Imagine, but it's too much of a hippy student song, and wouldn't suit him.
I would like to hear:
(Noel)Money - Pink Floyd (Liam)24 Hour Party People - Happy Mondays
