For me, this is an amazing song. It's so uplifting and positive. It's my favourite, having overtaken 'The Fame', which was hard to do. I read somewhere, i think the NME Oasis speacial from July 2002, that Noel hates the song, that he just threw some chords together and stuck it on 'Stand By Me'. This hurt me good and proper. What do all the die-hard fans think? ?

I fuking love that song. And "Sister Lover" too. That mix on the SBM single is class. Noel hates alot of good songs hes wrote....like "Stay Young" - Noel hates that one, thats why it wasnt on BHN. Wat a dick!! Great rocking tunes!!

It is a great track that should have been on the Be Here Now album to many of the B sides from that era should have been tagged on the album.

Shite all those three b-sides, but better than Magic Pie, that's a song that should've never been released. And Noel is surely dissapointed for releasing all those 'cos he's able to write tunes like Rockin' Chair & Slide Away (don't know what he thinks of RC, he never plays that one)

dude rarely do people on this site say they dislike an oasis song, so for you to hate the 3 mentioned is fuckin dumb.

I just received 11 cd singles from the U.K. and just heard the song for the first time. Very cool. I'll be listening to it more for sure.

Some people thought I was a Robbie fan 'cos I dislike some Oasis songs. Well yeah, that makes a lot sense, every time I hear Angels in a pub I sing along, his songs really touch me. Fucking hell! There are only a few bands that have not released bad songs, The Stone Roses is the only one I can think of right now. Oasis is more than the songs they've written, and this thread was about people's opinions on those b-sides. It would be a thrilling subject if everyone was just posting things like "yeah they're brilliant, everything's brilliant, YEAH BRILLIANT!"

It's alright, wouldn't say it's anywhere close to being one of my fave songs but for the BHN period it's above average although a little bit cheesy and mainstream for my liking. I have to say I think The Fame is terrible, absolute dross with really shockingly bad lyrics. My Sister Lover on the other hand is great, reminds me a bit of Underneath The Sky. But if we all liked the same things the world would be a very boring place wouldn't it?

It's an ok song. I don't really like the Be Here Now b-sides (expect for Heroes, Flashbax and Stay Young). The Sotsog b-sides are much very...very heart felt with deep lyrics (just listen to carry us all and try to disagree with me).
