I think his voice is great.
Richard Fearless from Death In Vegas said it was louder than some of his amps!
But then again theres nothing we can do about his voice, imagine trying to get Liam to do vocal warm-ups with a pro vocalist?!
You can see it in your head:
'Now I want you to try a high note Liam'
'Fook this wheres me Bensons! I'm going for a pint!'
Just aint gonna happen, he's a proper rock star. Not like Chris Martin.

The way I see it is that the day you get a vocal teacher is the day you've lost it. I see it as being 'manufactured'. Liams voice is his own, no one elses. And once a vocalist toys around with his voice it'll never be like it was. You wouldn't see John Lydon getting a vocalist in would you?! i know his voice at glasto wasn't his best (you never know, he may have had a fuckin cold or a sore throat or something!) but Oasis isnt just about Liams voice its the tunes aswell, wait till they do a tour and im sure his voice will improve.

I think what ur saying is totally bullshit. He can't hit the highnotes anymore? I he can hit higher notes than he ever could during DM or WTS tours. Noel had to sign the high parts on Columbia Acquiesce and such. Nobody ever questioned Liams voice till after glastonbury. You all need to stfu and listen to some rock n roll. as webmaster said, it's not the opera. HC was their best tour yet, Liam's voice was prime for every type of song. He does have alot of bad days like any singer, stop trying cauze havoc round a fan board saying we're all biased toward Oasis. of course ppl aren't goign to like it when you come to a board and slag off a band they like for various reasons.

Personally Liam's voice changes album to album. Dont agree just listen to one song from every album. Vocally his best albums are Morning Glory and Be Here Now. Since SOTSOG his voice has been a bit raspy like he's been nursing a sore throat.
Just listened to some songs from Glastonbury 04 and yeah he sounds like Kermit the Frog on SCYHO his voice on many tracks from the gig sound bad I mean he sounds like a bad impersonation of himself

I like his voice now cos its sounds more strong, unlike in the early days when it was soft and sounded like it could easily go out of tune

cocaine + alcohol + cigarettes = ravaged voice. Liam lost his voice proper during the 2000 world tour but the damage was probably done 1997-1999 when he was binging on coke. As a former coke user myself I know what it does to your throat and nose. He needs vocal help, period. Whether or not that ever happens doesn't really matter to me anymore as Oasis are not the best nor most exciting thing in rock and roll any longer, their time was 94-98. Liam is still the man in Oasis and is one of the only real rock stars the UK has going, besides Carl and Pete from the Libertines. Oasis at Glasto this year was ho-hum, that coupled with the hard times they are having putting an album together means they should have a serious re-think or pack it in. Liam has the means and the passion to make great music in a new band and Noel can go off and become the next Weller. Personally that would be a great way to go...

Coke/booze/ and the fags have ruined it. This is the truth and is a fact. Listen to his voice in 97/98 - he cud actually sing and keep a note to the music then. But ever since the SOTSOG tour he has lost this ability. Yes at the start of tours and on some perfromances he can still hold a note....but after a few gigs and after a few months of a tour he complelty loses his voice...loses the ability to sing to any decent standerd. This is a fact. Wat is aslo a fact is that some sort of help with his voice, wehter it be a vocal coach to help him look after his voice, or a some sort of remedy for his badly injured vocal cords has to be looked at. Fuk all that "its not rock and roll". Fuck rite off!! Great rock n roll is about being a great performer..and if Liam cant sing live then wat use is he?? I was suprised at the Glasto performacne cos i thought a one off gig like that Liams voice wud stand up ok. It didnt thou, some songs it was ok but mostly it was poor. So seek some help liam....u dont have to be trained in opera or anything stupid like that...but if theres ways to help improve a clearly injured vocal abliltiy then do it man!!

Use ur own imagination (oh yeah for those who is just reading this thread for thefirst time, i advise u read the first 2 pages... so u no wat we're talkin about

liam does sometime go out of tune.... i hate it when he sings "stop crying your heart out........." the way he screams at the end! he doesn't seem to be able to stretch the last part so he simply screams!
but for the rock n roll songs, he's still the best!

indo i think that your just here to cause trouble. as some one said how can you come on an oasis forum and slag them off how dumb are you.
also the twat that said that they should split up and do there own thing was the worst comment to make on an OASIS FORUM!!! i think you two should fuck off and let oasis be oasis they will know when it is time to quit, and if liam wants to get pissed and take coke let him if he still comes and do live shows that are mental then i am happy and so are the fans
Cheers

I dont think its so much that LIAM has lost it. I think LIAMS feels that OASIS have lost the gang mentality with all the changes in the line up its hard for him to feel like hes in a band in the 5 unit sense. HE used to party with bonehead , then whitey, but now Gem seems attached at Noels hip and Andy doesent seem to hang either to me LIAM is the last of the old wild OASIS . Now to me there is no buffer between LIAM AND NOEL and its affecting the creative side of the band. just my opinion and i hope ALL WORKS OUT FOR THE BEST

well thats one smart (literally smart) post that i've read since a long time.
Yeah, i think that also can be a factor. How much does it affect him, who knows.
But i dont think he partied or likes to party as much as he used to. Hes got kid etc.... Family man hehe ;D

THANK YOU for the compliment on my post,,, I try to make my posts serious, as I love OASIS, To me its obvious that something is wrong with the band the magic seems faded if not lost I can only hope they can re kindle it as I still think they are the best band in the world ,,the question is do THEY (LIAM AND NOEL ) STILL WANT TO BE??

So Liam has "lost it"?
Well Noel's voice has gone from strength to strength... If not it certainly hasn't gone downhill much as shown on Little By Little. TUNE!
