After Noels relationship with Louise Jones he went out with MTV VJ, Rebecca de Ruvo. She shared a flat with a girl called Meg. In November 1994 Noel had his first meeting with Mag Matthews, the cousin of English football star, Matthew Le Tissier. She was then running a DJ agency called Flavor. Nothing happened for a while as Noel was still dating Rebecca. This relationship fizzled out and by the end of 1994 Noel and Meg were a couple. Noel was then living in a flat near Primrose Hill but very quickly moved into Megs apartment. On the 29 December 94, at a gig in Brighton Meg hadn't got a clean set of clothes and in their hotel room she was ironing her shirt. Noel came in and asked why she was ironing a dirty shirt. During the gig dedicated a song to "the girl in the dirty shirt, she knows who she is." Another spark of inspiration for Noels songwriting.

Wonderwall is the most famous of all oasis songs and again it's written about Meg. John Lennons word play is famous and he often used the word wonderwall instead of the word wonderfull. So when Noel calls Meg his wonderwall he really means she's his wonderfull.
