Just listened to some songs played at the Poole Lighthouse, Dorset, , this guy plays like a fucking ROOKIE!!!! Noel is a dickhead putting this bitch fooling around with classic songs! Let's make a petition for Alan back, for god sake! Listen to Morning Glory, Live Forever and Bring it on Down and you'll know what I mean. ARGHHHHHHHHH STARKEY JUST SUCKS!

i think zak is an amazing drummer who brings energy to every song he plays. i saw him with the who less than a month ago. it made me think, "keith who?" give the guy a chance, it was his first ever gig with them. i wished he'd been drumming with oasis since the beginning. better late then never.

Well, until now I analyze it this way :
OASIS IS OASIS THE WHO IS THE WHO
STARKEY IS THE WHO ALAN IS OASIS
end of story.

Any one that has ever touched a drum kit will tell you that you can train a monkey to play Oasis songs. Starkey is an amazing drummer! I'll agree there were moments in this show that could have been better, but his playing with previous bands is nothing short of brilliant! He's much better than daddy! Besides, have you ever listened to an Oasis record? 90% of the songs are 95% guitar layers. They'd be the best band of all time/best band in the world with koko the monkey on drums.

ARGHHHHHHHHH STARKEY JUST SUCKS! the only newbie here is you. starkey is much more solid than whitey. besides, whitey has the same problems during glasto 95, as he was a bit nervous coz it was the 1st gig. starkey does different fills, andi t's the 1st time, he'll improve it. if he was shit, he wouldn't be in the band.

well, he was the first one and noel did't feel he was able to come into the band and dismiss everyone. he was the new member, tony wasn't. noel couldn't dismiss him, so thats why. here's yer answer.

i agree with that, zack has nothing to do with alan. whitey was just 101% better than him. do u think that wonderwall or dont look back in anger or any other song would've sounded the way without him? just listen to the album version of supersonic and then listen to a live version: mccarrol vs alan white, you cant compare it. zack its not a bad drummer, if he was noel wouldn't have offered him to join the band but it's not as creative and he hasnt got the particular style that alan had. some say that the music is the same and that's ok but the music without a good drummer is like a car without the engine; it can be very beautiful but it doesnt move. anyway alan aint gonna come back so hope zack improves his style.

IT's not about who is the best drummer.Whether you like it or not, Oasis have evolved since '94 and so has their sound.Alan 's fills and break-beats have been the sound for almost a decade. You could put the best drummer in the world behind the drums and give him the albums to learn from and it's gonna sound a bit shit!
From The Who footage, Zak does look easily as good as Alan but if you compare FTM Rock'n'roll Star to Glastos, I know which does more for me!

i was sad to see White go but from what i've seen Starkey is a more than adequate replacement who will prove his worth the more he gels with the band. Its important he imposes his own style on the songs and doesnt just copy White.
Just saw My Generation - awesome drumming

Thank You for agreeing with me and putting some arguments for my shit thrown at the start of this thread. I didn't even see who said i'm a newbie, but look, it's MY OPINION that Starkey just doesn't fit in the "Oasis Drummer" thing, not because he plays differently than alan, he changes the drumming on the songs drasticly making the "essence" of the song something diferent than the original. "Any one that has ever touched a drum kit will tell you that you can train a monkey to play Oasis songs." Have you ever seen the Munich 2003 - Bring it on Down video ? Take a look on it, ALAN changed the drumming but the way changed it was AWESOME! I think there is a thing called : "COMMON SENSE" what I see it's that it's missing between you people who think that starkey is doing WELL. Ok, ok it was his first gig but come on, arghh, please listen to the drumming CAREFULLY.

well said mapey I'm into starkey's drumming and thought he did Oasis and us proud, imagine how nervous n how much pressure he must of felt. He is fit n all so leave him alone! My Generation n DLBIA blew me away ....made me hungry for more though!
