OASIS and MANIC STREET PREACHERS will both re-release their hit albums of the Nineties – ten years to the day they came out. Oasis’ Definitely Maybe and the Preachers’ The Holy Bible were both released on the same day in September 1994.

I hope Oasis remasters Definitley Maybe and adds some bonus tracks to it. Same with the Manics' Holy Bible album. Why waste money on albums you already have if they put nothing new on it

If they have any extra tracks it'll probably be Sad Song and possibly whatever but that's just guessing I suppose. The re-release will probably be geared towards people who are just getting into Oasis, although if it features extra tracks then it could be bought by existing Oasis fans, but there's no point in buying an album you already own! This must also mean that Morning Glory will be coming out next year perhaps?

I'd rather they didn't do that. Surely it would be better for another b-sides/rare album to come out to mark the 10 years.
I don't really want to buy it again, but would probably (grudgingly) if it was rereleased.
The Manics rereleasing the Holy Bible seems a bit odd, as it wasn't their debut album, and to my knowledge they haven't re-released Generation Terrorists or Gold Against The Soul.

There's also maybe a chance it could feature some of the 'forgotten tapes' such as maybe Colour My Life, Strange Thing etc. although that's maybe somewhat less likely but who knows

btw, did anyone end up buying both versions of the Familiar to millions album? I got the red version first, so I didn't see the point in getting the one with less tracks on it.

Any chance this could have anything to do with the new DVD release they mentioned on OasisINet some time ago? How about a CD/DVD 2-disc release? I'd surely buy it.

i will not be getting it. waste of money. it looks a bit desperate having to re-realese an album. its what pop groups do.

it looks a bit desperate having to re-realese an album. its what pop groups do. The Stereophonics have done it with their last two albums, and being a fan, I had already bought them. I wasn't going to buy them again just for one track.

I'll buy it if i can spare a tenner at the time ;D and if there are some good extra tracks added. would be nice if they added the less well known stuff.

Erm, I still haven't bought the blue version of Familiar To Millions, although its discount prices everywhere , but hey, I will get it eventually...... I hope they'll add some bonus tracks on the re-release of Definitely Maybe, Sad Song, Listen Up and Fade Away, and put it between the original tracklist or summat. You know the story of Listen Up, don't you, why it became a b-side instead of an album track,... well, I hope they'll put it right after Live Forever on the new version.... And, er, what is the Canadian version of the Holy Bible like? Has it got a different tracklist?

i hardly ever bother with official releases of any bands!
the live stuff is much more uncontrolled and much more interesting.
hmmh! maybee we are killing the music industry?
in that case...vive le death!!!! long live rock n roll and t-rex.

I'll Definitely buy it, i'm trying to collect all of the Oasis releases, so far i have all the albums, all the singles except for Supersonic, Go Let It Out and Who Feels Love, I also have a Japanese DM (still in the plastic) and a F2M shop promo (the black one)
I'm saving up to buy a Japanese version of Some Might Say at the moment though
