Photo I took earlier today. Bit random, but this swirling pattern of oil on the side of the road caught my eye. The colours were very pale on the original, so I applied some filters to boost the contrast and colour saturation to give it a bit more punch. Now it looks like someone's spilt a load of acrylic paint...  |

Perfect cover art for an early '70s psychedelic rock double LP Ha, I hadn't thought of that but now you mention that it does remind me of that era! Cue Moog solo. Recently I've been looking into some of the psychedelic light shows used in the late 60s. A lot of that seems to have been done by mixing oils with water in slides or bowls, mounted on overhead projectors. The results are quite hypnotic. There was also an old Dr Who episode called the Claws of Axos (1972) which had similarly psychedelic imagery. The alien ship was organic, and made people hallucinate... a lot of the episode looks like a bad acid trip, with scenes shot through a haze of swirling colours. It's genuinely some of the weirdest looking tv ever made, complemented by an unsettling electronic score from the Radiophonic Workshop. |

I think his time is definitely up, I noticed for the second match in a row it's all about the officials and nothing to do with him- realistically though I can't see him going until the end of his contract despite being of the belief that Arsenal will not win the title again whilst he remains in charge. On a more positive note good to see you looking on your way back to being well Nigel |

Oh he will last until his contract ends, and it will be another missed opportunity for Arsenal regarding the title although to be fair barring a massive collapse I think it will be Chelsea anyway. I don't think Arsenal will be extending his contract and it does going on the minutes from the supporters forum questions in September appear that there is a replacement plan in place- Taken from Arsenal Supporters Forum- 10th September 2016 |
