This is from the report I wrote in the Beady Eye tour section under the Philadelphia thread: About 20minutes after arriving at the venue and queuing up outside, there was a rumor that the band arrived, and that a few members were right around the corner. About a group of less than 10 people (surprisingly small amount!) rushed to see if this was the case. I wanted to know what the commotion was about, and thankfully I did. Who do I see? None other than Gem standing right in front of me, and Andy to my left. I was fumbling around: I had nothing that he could sign, but aha! I had a camera phone. Gem started to walk off, and seemed like he was just about to call Andy and tell him it was time to move on. Just before he could open his mouth, I called out "Gem! Gem! Can I get a picture with you?" He responded: "Sure, man." As genuine and as nice as you can get. I have always appreciated Gem. So I got my picture taken with my favorite non-Gallagher member. I am notorious for closing my eyes in photos, and this was no different (because I like what I see, with my eyes shut!). And while I do look bad, I don't even care. This was amazing, and very much surreal. In fact, a woman after me had me take a picture of her and Gem. I was literally shaking! I was still shaking when I resumed my place in line. You never know how you're going to react in those situations, but I was literally starstruck. What a moment. |

As a fellow human being, I would urge you to leave out the corny lyric references. They quadruple the nerd factor of your stories.
Congrats on meeting some of the guys though. That's awesome. In 2002 I had a chance to have Noel sign something for me, but I had nothing on me so i just stared at him awkwardly for a couple seconds. We were separated by a fence and i remember being shocked at how tiny he was.

I would love to see your pic bigger LIB. hi mimmi. i don't know how to make the pic bigger. it's a minor miracle i even got it uploaded here. i had to take the pic, send it to my email, upload it to a website and then upload it here. that was a real job, especially while drunk. there's nothing that exciting in my fridge anyway. |
