sorry for upsetting anyone, and sorry for posting that conversation on here where it could be read easily by any unsuspecting person. It was insensitive and in bad taste
However i simply cannot apologise for the underlying principle behind what was clearly (whether you find it funny or not) a joke. Everyone involved knew it was a joke. It could not have been anything other than a joke.
I just watched an episode of the Simpsons (at 7pm UK time, btw) where they made jokes about a dead parent, the handicapped and the OJ Simpson murder trial
If people want to start putting boundaries on what can and can't be joked about then that is what the slippery slope is...
I could apologise more and put forward my opinions more but i'll leave it at that unless anyone wants to talk in private.
