C'mon mate, I know it's a shithole. Coming from a shithole yourself, you should sympathize. But you talked today like you weren't very enthusiastic about coming here -- in fact you implied you'd never choose to do a show here if it weren't for your promoters who make those decisions for the band... I'm really looking forward to the show... I've got front row seats and even though I'm going to see the biggest show of the north american tour, I'm still excited to get to see you again in my shithole of a town (even if I've only been here a year). I don't want to say that it feels like the show won't be worth getting excited about because you won't be excited about coming here, but thats how it felt when you said that. Anyway, you're going to have one fan right up front who's going to be insanely mad fer it as the fans you've seen across the pond, and hopefully that'll make it worth it for you.

I seriously doubt that Noel is a member of this forum. Therefore, he can't hear you, mate. Sorry.

I seriously doubt that Noel is a member of this forum. Therefore, he can't hear you, mate. Sorry. I was thinking he meant it as more of an open letter for anyone to read than anything else. I can't speak for him, though. I feel your pain . . . I'm from the Detroit area. It seems they've always hated touring the midwest. Too bad they've had a string of bad luck and played to a lot of idiots around here. I think as far as the continental US goes only the deep south fans would have it worse . . . not that there's likely to be too many down there.

You're a fan, that's for sure. I can fully understand what you mean, I disliked the comment too. Oasis played in Holland in 2000 for the last time. Because of one bad concert with negativ reactions from some parts of the crowd, they didn't ever attend Holland again. If they have a bad experience with crowd, they won't forget. But still, it isn't always correct.

that being said I see what you're saying... but I mean he's attached to HIS shithole b/c it was HIS, he has no reason to be attached to yours Why? b/c he 1) hates shitholes BUT nevertheless 2) has to love his own shithole just as he probably doesn't like arrogant people, but he's going to love his brother, but that doesn't mean he's going to love you if you're arrogant.
anyway, the nature of your town is no reflection on the quality of you or your townpeople as fans so don't worry

Cleveland can't be that much of a sh*thole.
Nowhere is worse than Glasgow.

For those in the UK I believe Cleveland's nickname was 'The Mistake by the Lake'.
Never been there but I heard it has gone through a renaissance.
Also to the person (i don't feel like looking) that said the deep south maybe doesn't see Oasis, well they are usually visitors to Atlanta (already scheduled) and Florida. I have seen them 3 times in Florida.

Yeah, Florida I know all about, but I was referring more to like Arkansas or Mississippi.

For those in the UK I believe Cleveland's nickname was 'The Mistake by the Lake'. Never been there but I heard it has gone through a renaissance. Yeah, that's what they call it here. I never thought I could move to a place so pitiful that it would make Indianapolis seem like God's country. I live on the far east side of town near Shaker -- really the only decent place to live. Everything else out here is ugly, polluted, cold (we had like a foot of snow this past weekend! WTF?!?), and smelly (parts of Cleveland have a very distinctive stench). We've got the Rock Hall -- which is fun the first time you've been there but it gets old really fast, and it sucks because the actual induction ceremonies/concerts are held in NYC because the venues here suck. Plus, if you go there, you'd think the Beatles and U2 were the only bands worth mentioning ever to come out of Europe. that being said I see what you're saying... but I mean he's attached to HIS shithole b/c it was HIS, he has no reason to be attached to yours Why? b/c he 1) hates shitholes BUT nevertheless 2) has to love his own shithole just as he probably doesn't like arrogant people, but he's going to love his brother, but that doesn't mean he's going to love you if you're arrogant. anyway, the nature of your town is no reflection on the quality of you or your townpeople as fans so don't worry Now, don't get me wrong. I love my shithole too. Except when it gets all swollen and irritated. But then all it usually needs is some of the Preparation H cream.

I grew up in Cleveland and I would hardly call shaker the only nice area of Cleveland. Try the west side or the suburbs in Medina County. Anyway, Thanks Noel, we really needed more people ripping on Cleveland.
Go Browns!!!!

we just have to prove noel wrong and show him why he is touring in cleveland. the fans do exist and as hard as it is for him to believe people in cleveland will be going to the show

In reality though, the concert isn't even in Cleveland, it's in Cuyahoga Falls

That's like saying the hollywood bowl is not in LA or that Redrocks isn't in Denver.
