Since I'm the world's BIGGEST NIGHT HAWK . . .
A college Radio station my best friend listens to all the time was doing a little piece on the New Oasis Single as well as the album and out of NOWHERE they flashed to a clip of Neol Speaking. It's origin is unknown and I couldn't give a fuck but, it was the best thing I've heard in so long. I'll try my best to type this out . . .sorry it's so long.
Guy: So I'll just admitt this, I've heard the new single . .
Noel: Right, bastard. (Laughs) you and 20,000 others I'll proably sue later.
Guy: you can take my pay-check, it'll be about 400 bucks . . canadian.
Noel: that's about 20p where I come from
(Both Laugh)
Guy: Since I'm a huge fan, I'm bias towards anything you guys put out but, this is seriously great. I mean, might be the best 1st single I've ever heard from you guys. . .
Noel: yeah . .
Guy: It blew my mind
Noel: Yeah? Well thank you sir.
Guy: NO THANK YOU. Everyone's always wondering, anticipating, and then of course criticising. Maybe even myself more than most of your interviewers, but I was floored. And in Canada, that means . . . MEGA, I guess.
Noel: Cheers.
Guy: I'm going to ask the DUMB question you'll probably dance around the truth with but, Who's Lyla?
Noel: Well who the fuck is Sally, but she's waiting . . . who the fuck is JUDE? . . .
Guy: Hey Jude . . Hey LYLA . . .
Noel: Now y'er catching on mate . . .
(both laugh)
Guy: I've read everything there is to know about the new album. I've read your write ups about the songs and all the corporate reviews. Do you . . . personally . . . think it's going to the damage it's hyped up to?
Noel: Well let's be honest, if I thought it was shit, I'd still tell you it was good. But I'm telling ya it's the best thing we've done in years. I think so, the band thinks so and all m'mates that've heard it all like it. I love it. At the end of the day that's all that matters. How many copies it sells, how well it does on the charts, don't mean fuck all anymore. I'm almost 40 man, Couldn't b arsed. But the fans will lose their minds. We've done things on this album I woulda never done, and let me tell you, we will not do again.
Guy: Throw me your favourite track . . hands down. If you had to pick one song on the album you're most proud of, if you had to pick one that you think went above and beyond . . .
Noel: The last one . . .
Guy: Why? . . .
Noel: Cos it took me 7 years to do
Guy: To write?
Noel: No, to record it properly, get tha parts done, have the right players, right moment . . .
Guy: For anyone listening, the rules are "No Unreleased Song Names and No Specific Revealing Information"
Noel: Right. Fuck, you can find it somewhere you students.
Guy: Well, I'm excited. I could care less about any other record that comes out. Speaking of which, have you head the new phonics?
Noel: Yep
Guy: what did you think?
Noel: It's good. Kelly, or as I like to refer to him as, Midget. (Laughs), told me the record was gonna be different. IT is. He's been turned tits up this past year. I hope it does well. It will I think.
Guy: Any favourite tracks?
Noel: THe single is good. There's another song on there that's pretty fucking good. I think it's right after it on the album.
Guy: After the single . . Dakota . .
Noel: (Sipping on something). Yep, If I recall
Guy: Oh . REWIND?
Noel: COrrect . . that's it. And may I add, this has turned into one hell of a promotion for a record I had nothing to do with
Guy: Sorry . . .(Laughing). I've always wanted to shoot the breeze with you about music.
Noel: It's your time mate.
Guy: Ok, let's talk Oasis music then.
Noel: Alright.
Guy: The tour . .
Noel: What tour? . . ha.
Guy: Are you particularily excited about coming back to Canada . . .honestly?
Noel: well yeah, I mean. We're excited to just be back on the road. The fans have always been great here. WE've brought some great bands with us when we've come over here. Canadians are very much like people back home. Americans tend to be over judgemental, you lot tend to have a better time. I wanted to play a different venue this time round and actually, I believe it was my idea to start the tour here.
Guy: Can I be ridiculous and ask you about the set?
Noel: we don't have one yet . .
Guy: Not even an idea?
Noel: We might play something of the last record, how's that? (laughs) and maybe the single . .
Guy: How about I guess songs and you say yes or no?
Noel: sure.
Guy: Wonderwall

Noel: I sing that one right? then yes.

Noel: Ah, now this is going somewhere. there will be a few surprises . . so maybe.
Guy: you keep saying maybe so, since this one starts with Maybe . . Live Forever?
Noel: All signs point to . . maybe.
Guy: Acousitic Set Maybe?
Noel: Never wrote a song called that.
Guy: Cast NO shadow?
Noel: Not a chance
Guy: Where did it all go wrong?
Noel: the day Liam was born I'd imagine.
Guy: Oh, how about bringing back Talk Tonight?
Noel: I'll have to remember that one.
Guy: It's better People?
Noel: FUck off. you're getting out of hand now mate.
Guy: Fair enough . . (Long Pause) . . . how about All Around The World?
Noel: It was an idea we've discussed actually?
Guy: Are you being serious THIS time?
Noel: Ya, seriously. This time around we'll dig into our back catalogue a lot.
Guy: Like you did with the Brotherly Love Tour?
Noel: Ya, a bit like that.
Guy: Because when I saw that tour I heard a lot of stuff I never thought I'd hear you guys play again. Step Out, Fade Away, Columbia . . . that was an amazing show.
Noel: Cheers
Guy: One last one . . . all my friends want to know how you feel about JET.
Noel: Rock n Roll Animals.
Guy: More along the lines of how they are a bit of Oasis rip offs . . .you agree?
Noel: there's nothing wrong with Borrowing, let me tell you that. There good mates now. They're a great band. If they've ripped me off or anyone else, who cares, they've sold records. I will tell you however, you should ask Iggy Pop that question first, know what I mean?
Guy: I do (Laughing) . . . I'm expecting they'll join you on stage at some point in the show when you come.
Noel: . . . . maybe.
Guy: Classic Answer.

Noel: refreshing actually. I'll tell the phonics they owe me money now.
Guy: Yeah, sorry about that again. Quickly, what are you listening to these days?
Noel: Um . . . New Coral. A lot of the usual . . . New Soundtrack, fucking mega. (changing into a funny voice) . . And the new Stereophonics is a Fantastic Album, you should all go and buy 5 copies each. Twice. (Laughing)

Allow me to put all of your minds at ease.
It's real . . . 150% genuine.
I typed it all out myself, it took me an hour or so . . . and if someone will GLADLY explain to me how I get a CASSETTE recording to an MP3, I'd be glad to post it!

I don't really know much/anything about computers but this might work.
Press play on your tape recorder and press record on your computer's sound recorder. (you'll have to keep hitting record every 60 seconds). When the interview's done save it.
It will save as a .wav file I think.
Now it's in .wav format you can either upload it as that, or convert it.

Your sound card should have what's called a 'line-in' port. Basically, all you need to do is connect that to either your hi-fi's output phono sockets, or your hi-fi's headphone output socket. Then, you need a program on your PC to record from the line-in port. I recommend Total Recorder, if you get everything else hooked up then PM me and I will send you the program and talk you through using it. Good luck! |

. . . You people have kept me entertained, to say the least.
I'll take the advice given from that lad who suggested the TOTAL RECORDER and see what I can do.
As I tried to explain yet, may not have specified because Of my excitement, it was a cassette given to me from a friend of mine. He goes to school at the University of Toronto and his ROOMATE is the one GIVING THE INTERVIEW.
As far as the STATION itself or it's website . . .I will find out more for you.
Belief people . . Belief.
Do you really think I would take the time to transcript something that was a "dream" , as you called it.
Regardless . . . I'll do my best here. I'm new at this . . .
