NOEL GALLAGHER seems to have quit recording the new OASIS album after having his collar felt by the police.

There was no sign of life at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall yesterday and I reckon he must have packed up and gone home. I told yesterday that mono-browed Noel was quizzed by Cornish cops this week for trespassing on a railway line.

They noticed his alleged crime when I ran a snap of him trudging along the line to the studio in Monday's Bizarre. He owned up to the offence and could be fined up to £1,000 if the police decide to prosecute.

Now I'm worried he's given up recording - I'd hate to be blamed by Oasis fans if anything goes wrong with the new album.
