I realy need to get into them now. Ive heard this one guy (the junky or something) play solo and acoustically on the radio here in holland, and it was pretty good, melodic.
Never had the chance to listen to their album. I think im going to the record store this afternoon...

Id love to know what the big attraction is with the Libertines? Ive got both their albums and 2 of their gigs, sure they are good but not what everyone makes them out to be. Slightly above average and nothing more.

the libertines are the best band in the world today on record,and when pete´s with them they´re the best band in the world live.
No band can come up with songs like what katie did.. last post on the bugle,arbeit macht frei,can´t stand me now,music when the lights go out,the man who would be king..the new album is the crack even though I still love their first one as well

The new album is good but it doesnt come close to Oasis, Radiohead, Strokes, Stone Roses etc. They are a slightly above average band, nothing more. Of course they will be remembered in 10-15years but only because of Pete.

Its 1min 15 seconds long, doesnt even come close to Oasis on their very worst day.

I´d rather listen to arbeit macht frei and get pissed than falling a sleep to one of radioheads nightmares-...and the strokes..not even clos to the libs..coz libs got 2 great singers and strokes one good
