Avril says Britney just 'too sexy'
Punk princess Avril Lavigne has been criticising pop rival Britney Spears.
Avril says the Toxic singer's act is inappropriate and all about being a sex symbol.
"Tons of mums come up to me and say thank you for not dressing like Britney Spears," she says. "Sometimes she just overdoes it with the facial expressions. You should dress like that for your boyfriend, not for the world."
Avril doesn't like Hilary Duff much either, calling her a "goody goody" and adding: "She bugs me."

NYR, who has taken credit for single handedly ruining the careers of boy bands everywhere since Take That! and considers 1997's "Be Here Now" and "OK Computer" to be the end of good music, has been criticising horrible musician Avril Lavigne since her debut album.
NYR says the 'Complicated' singer's act is inappropriate for musicians around the world, hence making everyone dumber from listening to her new album, "Wow! I Can Wear a Tie!"
"Tons of mums come up to me and say thank you for not dressing like Britney Spears and giving bad music a kick and flamethrower up the ass," NYR says.
"Sometimes the record labels just overdo it with the looks, not the music. And whoever bought Avril's debut album needs to be strapped into a chair and beaten with hammers."
NYR doesn't like Hilary Duff much either, considering her 15 minutes are up. "I agree with Avril on one thing: Hilary Duff pisses the shit out of me."

well. i think they are both sizzly hot women who have both got some evil tunes under their pierced belts! stop dissing them NYR401994. can you come up with a song that is as catchy as their's? i seriously doubt it! sexist fucker. i am not saying that britney spears and avril lavigne aren't talented, i just think that more emphasis should be put on music more than looks. they are both beautiful, that's a given. however, i think that people with musicianship and musical skill, no matter what they look like, should be popular, and i feel that there are little to none today. for example, 50 years ago, when aretha franklin first made it big, she was overweight, not pretty at all, and had the voice of an angel. if she first came out today, she wouldn't probably even get a contract with a big label, because there's too much emphasis on looks. i even feel that if the beatles (my favorite band other than oasis and the who) were ass ugly, they would not have been as popular as they were now for the exception of ringo, because he was always ugly since we're on an oasis forum, i think noel put it best: "just because you sell a lot of records doesn't mean you're any good. just look at phil collins." (my favorite quote of his) and by the way, i'm working on the catchy songs. if you think that avril lavigne and britney spears wrote most of their biggest hits, you are out of your mind. i think noel has done every single one possible. is it so wrong to have more emphasis on music than on looks? that's my only point. oh, and about the sexist fucker thing- damn right! just kidding |
