Horrible shit Ya, I can't stand that stuff either. Makes me feel like a little sissy when my wife's british friends who are a bunch of skinny little 115 pound girls are drinking a pint of Guinness and I get a lager

I bought a few different beers at Tesco on Thursday night since all the singles are 20% off and I been wanting to try some of the different stuff. Tonight I had an Innis & Gunn ale that was awesome! 6.6% ABV and made in Edinburgh, it was totally good I recommend it if you like malty ales.

Just a silly question of me...
Why is the beer in pubs in England not cold enough? Personally I really liked dark beer, especially the one from microbrewery.

Just like red wine some types of dark ales and bitters are supposed to be served warm but that stuff is terrible anyways. All the lagers are chilled and every pub around where I live has Fosters and Strongbow on tap with the Extra Cold system that makes the temp 2C or about 38F when they pour them out..

that's just a stereotype. Just like red wines are supposed to be served warm . That's not true actually, found out when I went to wine country that when they say serve at room temperature they really mean serve at the temperature of the room they were aged in which is really around 53 F.

yeah red wine should really be served after 30 mins in a fridge
the whole 'room temp' thing was well before we all had central heating blasting all day

But I didn't drink the lager when I was in London last year. Do you know a beer cafe in the neighbourhood of the London Bridge meanstreak? They serve several kinds of beer from the microbrewery. I was there once and I really liked that place.

I never turned it on in the winter back at home and only turn it on here when my wife complains she's freezing! 53F sounds reasonably cool for a red wine, but I prefer all my drinks nearly frozen anyways so anything over 35F seems warm to me! On a side note you ever had a wychcraft blond? I drank one last night, pretty damn good!

Although I do love Spanish Sangria, is that considered wine? Nice and cold of course!

Walked around but never spent any time drinking it up!

Good beer with a good friend in a sunny terrace on a sunny afternoon...it was really nice. Talking about beer, I can't drink Heineken. I always get a bad headache. I'm just stubborn, give me Grolsch and I'm happy.
