it's a good tune for sure
However I don't think it would've fit the album cos we all know the Masterplan so well.

Cloudburst is a typical "Oasis" rock tune, but like Revolver says I don't think it would have fit the album. BUT it should be on the next B-side album if they gonna ever release one. Definitely. and I hope "Angel child" would be on there too.

Is a good song but a bit proto-Oasis, you can see why they left it off.
Personally there's other songs I would have liked to see on The Masterplan that got left off, over and above Cloudburst:
Angel Child Round Are Way Step Out Flashbax

very good song but some other fantastic b-sides didn't make the cut like Round Are Way, Step Out, Spaceman, Take Me Away

It's a great song, but it isn't better than any of the ones on The Masterplan, so I think they did a good think leaving it out

cloudburst is one of my fave b-sides.
But if you like that song you should listen to Standing Here by the Stone Roses, cos that's what cloudburst sounds a lot like.

to be honest i have lived with the masterplan for so long i couldn't imagine it in any other way, so my vote is no.

No. Other's on here have made compelling points which have convinced me of my decision. Many other even better b-sides were left off, and likewise I have lived with TMP for too long, too, that I can't imagine it being any different.
It would certainty deserve its place on a second b-sides compilation album, though; that's for damn sure.

I wouldn't have minded Cloudburst on there in place of The Swamp Song...but the album is perfect as it is. Oasis' single best offering IMO.

It just sounds like another Shakermaker to me.

Nothing like Shakermaker, it does however have a very similar melody to "Standing Here" by The Stone Roses.

Great tune carrying a bit of that pre-94 sound, love the 'and I can feel the raaaaiiiiin' I have at times thought it should be on The Masterplan but then I ask myself what I'd knock off for it? Going Nowhere ( nl4e to rage) definitely, maybe Half the World Away (everyone to rage) BUT there are probably other b sides I'd then elevate ahead of it. The thing about The Masterplan was that it wasn't really so much a b-sides collection, or not your typical one anyway, but rather a collection of songs far too good to just be b-sides. And when I think of Cloudburst it doesn't really fit that description - it found its level, for me. Tune, though.
