I love the guy, thinks hes one of the most inspirational men alive. His music, his dancing just amazing. Ok, so hes fucked up in the head, but name one musical icon which isnt?
Just wanted to see what the general concensus on him was...

Was a great talent, Off The Wall and Thriller are fantastic soul/dance records. The rest of his back-catalouge is rubbish as far as Im concerned. They say there is a fine line between genius and madness, and for me, he veared over that line towards the madness side along time ago now.
His performance at the Brit Awards in 1996 made me want to throw up.

I love his music more than Oasis.  Fuckin genius, i really wish he wasn't weird so everyone would treat him with the respect he deserves. He has changed music more than any other artist in the past 25 years in my opinion. I hope he has a huge smash and shut every twat up. |

for once topdog i agree with ya.
Hes no more weird than lennon. He almost killed a man from beating im up, beat yoko up on several occassions, lived naked in his apartment for four years but everyone still thinks hes a genius.
And the amount of work that he does for chairty is unbelieveable. Its the media, as usual which has ruined his reputation.

Michael has created 2 popular inferior impersonators in Usher and Justin Timberlake +many others and created a sound with Quincy Jones 15 years ahead of the times. He is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better today's RNB stars. We need more people with his talent.

His crazyness is understandable though. I have skin problems too and it's cureless. Skin deseases are the most terrifing and perturbing. It really changes your way of living and your love about yourself. But about the nose jobs? That was waaaay out.

Great music, back in the day. There's no denying that. However he hasn't made a decent record in 10 years and is bloody mental. So I would say nowadays he is a wanker.
F-R-E-A-K. And i agree with Glove, his messianic display at the 96 Brits was absolutely disgusting. I never thought I'd be pleased to see Jarvis Cocker's arse wiggle into view, but I certainly was after that repulsive shite.
