Well, the poll question says it all ...
Who's the best britpop/indie band beside Oasis ?

out of those listed i'd say the Verve (after that Black Rebel Motorcycle Club).
At the moment however i'm liking The Stone Roses (do they count as Indie) or Heavy Stereo ;D

I think Hurricane #1 is fucking great. But the second album is crap. I have to go for the Verve though.

Even though I don't agree with the phrasing of the question, I'd say out of that lot the Verve are by FAR the best, and the second best band ever behind Oasis. If you've only listened to Urban Hymns though, you really don't know what you're missing. The likes of This Is Music, Gravity Grave, No Come Down, One Way To Go, On Your Own, History, Make It Till Monday, Slide Away and basically everything on "A Storm In Heaven" actually are amazing. "A Storm In Heaven" is the best psychadelic rock album of all time. The guitar work from Nick McCabe is mind blowing.

The second Cast album had good songs on it too, especially I'm So Lonely which I think is pretty much as good as any Oasis ballad and by far Cast's best moment. One of the most beautiful songs of all times!
