So what do you all think. Do you prefer the raw sound of Liam in 1994, belting out Greats such as Rock n Roll Star & Cigarettes & Alcohol......Or do you think his voice is like a fine wine and has got better with age?

Why should there, it's simple enough '94 or '05!

Liam's voice on the album sounds pretty good. But the big test will be whether or not he'll be able to pull it off live.

His SINGING was the best in the Be Here Now era. Just listen to the G-Mex 97 gig, and then try and compare it to ANY other time period... It was bar none the best then.
Based on the poll however, I say now, cause I don't like the way Liam sounds on DM. Morning Glory and BHN were his best vocal performances. Although, DBTT seems to be a return to form, which is good...

Liam HIMSELF likes his voice best from BHN, from interviews, whatnot. perhaps those of you who said so are right NYR401994, you are part of Kalas' cliche ? Being nosey, Tamara

NYR401994, you are part of Kalas' cliche ? Being nosey, Tamara kalas and i decided to make a little group in response to the rise of the bootleg queens, and especially after a lot of arses taking the piss out of the both of us a little while back.

Liam's voice on this new album is just amazing to me, but nothing compare to the 2000 era,(Jools holland, Yokohama, Maple leafs - toronto...) lets hope he ll be able to put those song live coz a cd recording is no sign of any amelioration to me. And if he is able to perform those new tracks live it will for sure be their best touring, and the best bootlegs ever will see the day.

Ah mates you got to think on this one, both voices fit the fucking time. 94 was fucking outstanding (but wouldnt sound so great singing Lyla) and his voice now is great for the sound they are putting out. The voice has changed just like their sound.
But I personally like him in 94, seemed to be a bit more soothing but raw at the same moment.

His voice now is best for the new songs and for some of the old ones imo.

you guys are nuts.....late 95/96 was liams best singing years and had best clearest tone and was the strongest.....thats what makes WTSMG such a great album....if you had be here now or def maybe voice on that album i don't reackon it would be near as good....he fucked it completely from 2000 onwards but his singing style is different on glastonbury, its not so pushed out and agressive, he tends to try and sing it more now rather than shout everything....too much booze, drugs and shouting live happened on the Be Here Now tour and he fucked it
What's the story morning glory is his best singing years

My sentiments exactly, Liams voice in '94 was just amazing, being able to belt out tracks like C & R in a almost punk-esque kind of way, but then beable to tone it right down for something like Married With Children.
