Does this word have the same back ground history as center and centre ? I thought that in the case of center the yanks are using the older version ? Please educate me my humble English friends

see argentinaians were educated in the correct way... Its our language so its colour, end of. If you want to create your own language where everything is backwards and clolour is called color then do so but dont call it English.
