Less than 100 posts to go until the milkman comes again. Never expected to post this much. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My goal for the year was to get a nomination for forum member of the year. I just started hanging around here when last year's noms were announced.

I didn't get a nomination, but I think that just speaks to the number of great posters that are on here. Because there are a whole bunch of you guys whose posts I love reading, and everyone nominated thoroughly deserved their nomination and deserved it just as much. And I always love hearing from any of you, I read loads of posts and it's always nice to hear from members I've not spoken to personally before. So I'll still be here next year, until I get that nomination.

Not to seem ungrateful however, several lovely users nominated me for The Doctor's forum awards post of the year, and I was very flattered. So if you're reading this, thank you you lovely people. I was genuinely very flattered and honoured to be nominated, and very glad to hear some of you enjoy my posts. I hope I don't come across as self-indulgent, I worry that I may, but I never post anything without hoping that one or two of you enjoy whatever nonsense I have to say. It always means a lot to me that one or two of you enjoyed what I have to say. I do a fair bit of writing professionally these days, and it's a nice change from the kind of work I grew up on, but it means a lot more to me when a fellow music fan enjoys one of my half-puns or gets one of my obscure references.
